Marion from Nanaimo, BC, Canada

He must have just ducked his head into the water. His bill is wet and I can see water droplets on his neck. Great shot Judy.

@Marion: Yes, he was still wet from dipping in for something to eat - and hiding behind the trees too.

MJ from Delaware, United States

great shot... i want to touch ....the water droplets dripping down his neck... on my way to Florida today hope the weather is great !!!!

22 May 2008 12:44pm

@MJ: Thanks, MJ ... actually we may just get a little of the desperately needed rain we've been promised.
The swan won't have to dip in the water to take a bath perhaps. ;D

Wizened Eye from United States

Oh, wow! I know that sounds trite, but it's what came out of my mouth when the page loaded. (Yes, I always talk to myself). This is gorgeous. Did you give it some sort of artistic effect in Photoshop, or is painting-like quality due to great magnification? Whatever the case, you've got a real winner here. Nicely done, and a sweet title.

22 May 2008 1:12pm

@Wizened Eye: Thanks, Judy ..... The effect, as you guessed was from the zoomed in capture - he was quite a ways away and I wanted a good 'head shot'. ;D

Alun Lambert from cheshire, United Kingdom
