MY HERO !Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 3 May 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. Yesterday I told you that my diamond earring slipped into the overflow hole at the front of the sink... So, everything had to come out of the cabinet and Mike started taking apart the drain. Pieces were everywhere and with a strong light, he could see no earring. He then found something to snake into the drain hole and sure enough, he found it had not gone all the way to the bottom of the outer casting. Next he had to remove the chrome 'tailpiece' that comes from the bottom of the sink, and with his light, he saw the sparkle and knew he'd found it. Getting it OUT was another challenge, but now you know one of the reasons he is MY HERO! . . . He's mine and I'm keeping 'im! Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits. ---~--- Philippians 4:13 'We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.' ... <*}}}><

Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaWhere's the diamond??? I expected to see the diamond in that array of parts from below your sink. Well it all looks very clean and I am sure that your knight in shining armor put it all back together again so there aren't any leaks. Way to go Mike. What they won't do for their princesses. ;D Umm, I wonder what I can get Ray to do today. tee hee. 3 May 2008 3:40pm @Marion: The diamond earring was far, FAR away from that sink by the time I took the photo! *smile* Betty from New Jersey, United StatesI agree, where's the diamond? Great shot and story. I am very happy the earring was found. 4 May 2008 3:18am @Barbara: You are absolutely correct; patience personified! Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanYOU gave me such a scare!!! Thought the earing was gone!!! Ufff! Aren't you lucky to have Mike so skillful with tools??? Yes.....but I don't SEE the diamond! Where is it? 4 May 2008 8:35am @Japanalia: No, the diamond isn't gone ... it's in my EAR! I only remove them to clean them. Yes, I am/we are most fortunate; in almost 49 years, we haven't had to hire a plumber or a carpenter and rarely an electrician. Mike learned many skills from his father and then taught himself (sometimes out of necessity) how to work around the rest. He does NOT tinker with automobiles, though. :D It is so good to hear from you; I hope you are feeling more rested, my friend. @Anita: Thanks, Anita! |
