@MJ: I didn't even realize until after I'd taken the shot, that the flag was wrapped once around the pole!

That's the USA...! I just wish that the UK would have more pride and be more patriotic in flying the union flag. It's a lovely photo BTW.

@Barbara: Thank you, Barb. We love the sound too, but probably because it reminds us of the halyards slapping against the mast of our sailboat back in Connecticut in years past.

Well, you know how much I love flag photos, and this is a beauty. Snapping and flapping in the wind, so beautiful. Crisp, clear shot and wonderful framing.
