@mosleh: Thank you! @Claus: Thanks, Claus. After a week of featuring our grandchildren, and before that, focusing on the tragic loss of our son, this fluttering flag speaks to me of the wind we need now, beneath our wings... Betty from New Jersey, United StatesBeautiful, patriotic shot, Judy! Excellent composition and framing! 27 Apr 2008 11:05am @Betty: Thanks, Betty! Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaWOW I love how you took that! I had this urge to stand up...heck, I'm a neighbour so here I stand :) 27 Apr 2008 11:05am @Lorraine: ... and I'll stand and sing "O, Canada..." with you, how's that? Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaI like your crisp image and the photo within a photo presentation. 27 Apr 2008 11:26am @Michael Skorulski: Thanks, I obviously liked it too. :D @MJ: I didn't even realize until after I'd taken the shot, that the flag was wrapped once around the pole! Observing from Chester, United KingdomThat's the USA...! I just wish that the UK would have more pride and be more patriotic in flying the union flag. It's a lovely photo BTW. 27 Apr 2008 12:42pm @Observing: I didn't realize the UK doesn't show more patriotism. Maybe they need a lesson from the Canadians! :D Barbara from Florida, United StatesIt is such a beautiful image I can hear the sound of it flapping. Magnificent sky and great framing you used. 27 Apr 2008 1:43pm @Barbara: Thank you, Barb. We love the sound too, but probably because it reminds us of the halyards slapping against the mast of our sailboat back in Connecticut in years past. Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaWell, you know how much I love flag photos, and this is a beauty. Snapping and flapping in the wind, so beautiful. Crisp, clear shot and wonderful framing. 27 Apr 2008 4:14pm @Marion: Thank you, Marion ....... I've thought about buying a Canadian flag to fly beneath it. :D @Jen: Thank you, Jen. Rags from Plano, United StatesI have lived in America for a while, i am totally amazed by the patriotism that Americans have. 28 Apr 2008 2:38am @Rags: I don't know where your 'home' was, but I'm curious about your "amazement". Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesI pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all! Patriots forever. 28 Apr 2008 2:54am @Viewfinder: Thank you! Amen, and AMEN! @Lorraine: That we are, Lorraine ....... let's make it one big country! <grin> |
