John 11:9
Jesus said, "Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees by this world's light."

Sadly, I must add a PS: ... David, our eldest son (45) was killed Saturday night in an accident.

Oh dear Lord, I did not keep up with your posts during my time away and just backed my way into this painful news. "In life and in death we belong to God..." and "I am the resurrection and the life..." will comfort some, but God gives us tears to cry at times like these. "Blessed are those who mourn..." I celebrate David's life with you, but also mourn with you in your time of loss. He looks as if he has been a wonderful son, and dad to Kayla.

@Viewfinder: I knew you were away, and didn't give it a thought that you'd not learned of David's death. We are so very blessed to have our faith, and God's love to sustain us. HOW do people do it without that???

I like your statement that God "gave us tears" for times like this. He also wipes them away when we focus on our memories. Thank you, friend.
