Colored EggsPosted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 20 March 2008 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio. These are Parakeet eggs, collected by a friend, from their bird. When moving away, she gave them to me. I colored them over a dozen years ago and each year at Eastertime, I bring them out. Last week our friend lost her husband, so this year these eggs have added meaning... ---~--- Philippians 4:13 'We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.' ... <*}}}>< Your comments are so appreciated and I apologize for not having time to get to all of your posts.

@Betty: Thank you, Betty. Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesNeat... and thanks for the explanation... I thought it was a huge lens at first! 20 Mar 2008 11:35am @Earnest: Thanks, Earnest, for this comment and for yesterdays for the family collage. Happy Easter! Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanI think I saw them before! You found a very attractive way to give us a feeling of their size! The presentation is very good! 20 Mar 2008 11:47am @Japanalia: You probably have seen this - it came from the archives! *smile* Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaI thought it was a big lens at first too, but now know that the eggs are tiny AND beautiful. Nice presentation Judy. 20 Mar 2008 1:29pm @Marion: Thanks, Marion ........ they really are tiny. Chris from South Jersey, United StatesHow wonderful and delicate these eggs are. The colors are great and you found a fun way to present them - well done. 20 Mar 2008 3:22pm @Chris: Thank you, Chris ... they are so small. My friend called them her 'grand-bird-babies'. @Porcsin: Thank you, Porcsin, for your comment on my birthday image and the frog photos. Barbara from Florida, United StatesIncredibly tiny for 7 eggs to fit the diameter of the lens. Coloring makes them extra adorable. Thanks for pointing out the link error on my eggs. I'm not sure why I have no previous comment here. But now I do. Great image, Judy. 16 Apr 2009 12:06pm @Barbara: Thanks, Barb ... I'm off to bed early; just can't keep my eyes open. |
