Caftan showing yesterday's design...

Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 15 February 2008 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

The fabric was sent to me by someone in South Africa so I had the fun of deciding how to use its varied designs.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits.

One really would be a little piece of sunshine wearing that. Your image is sharp and the colors vivid to say the least.

@Michael Skorulski: I don't wear it often, but it's fun when I do! :D

Barbara from Florida, United States

This is beautiful Judy. I find the colors and pattern magnificent. You made a wonderful decision on how to use the fabric at its best. Definitely an heirloom.

@Barbara: Thanks, Barb!
It's not an everyday garment, but so much fun to wear.

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

Well, I learn more about your talents, Judy! What a pity that we don't live much,much closer.....need a lot of things to be made for my ever expanding body! LOL! This looks beautiful and you shot is nicely! Good presentation! (now I know WHY you have such good taste!)

@Japanalia: Thank you, my friend... I don't sew much anymore other than to correct the fit of something for MY expanding body. <grin>
I liked the single starburst image, but seeing where it came from made sense.
