I tried to catch the flame, but never did.
I'm learning from your work and your constructive comments; please leave suggestions. Blessings, Judy.
Other work is on Webshots; the link takes you to a collection of ladybugs from around the world.
It looks very realistic. Excellent photo.

You are certainly getting us all in the mood for the Civil War. Another excellent shot. I love the fellow with his hand cupped to his ear. Is he waiting for the next blast?

@Marion: Thanks, Marion, and yes, MANY had their hands cupped, because it was a deafening roar when the canons' multiple shots fired!!!
Great action shot - captured nicely. Even though you don't see the flame you can almost feel the "boom" of the cannon with the smoke and the postures of the men.

@Chris: Thank you, Chris ...... but you don't know how hard I tried to 'catch' that flame! <grin>
great shot - the colours and clarity are beautiful!

The guy to the right has his hand Cupped behind his ear as if signaling to repeat, 'cause he can't hear...so many candid emotions in there, way to go!!!

@Lorraine: Thank you, Lorraine .... it was so realistic to watch ... and the noise of the canons was LOUD!!!
The old man is squating? Why? He isn't want a shot from him or why? It gives a little humour to the shot! And the man in the red hat is same funny! "Excuse me? Could you repeat it?" Excellent!

@Porcsin: The older man is squatting as the canon recoils from the firing and the noise is VERY loud. These men 'survive' maybe 50 canon shots - much noise, and much excitement! .... Thank you for your comment.
Great shot, and I do not mean with it the cannon. :-)

@Peter Miller: Thank you, Peter ........ boy, I did TRY, but the flame is an instantaneous event, as you know!
Your series of photos are so good they are like a story book. Great clarity here. It appears this was a very nice event. Great shooting Judy.
