Regaining my balance...Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 8 February 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. This Hawk landed on the top of our flagpole and it was funny watching him trying to get a grip on the slippery ball. ---~--- Philippians 4:13 'We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.' ... <*}}}>< Your comments are so appreciated and I apologize for not having time to get to all of your posts.

Dylan from Delhi, United StatesI like how you can still see it's face in this one, with some great action as well. 8 Feb 2008 12:15pm @Dylan: Thanks, Dylan ......... I do too! Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesPretty nifty! Ospreys are incredible birds. 8 Feb 2008 1:26pm @Viewfinder: Hi VF ........ I was corrected, it was a Hawk, not an Osprey, but it was a remarkable experience to see him attempt to land up there. Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanThis is an outstanding capture, Judy! (Do you LIVE your every day life with your camera in hand?) 8 Feb 2008 3:17pm @Japanalia: Well............not really, but I do carry my smaller one in my purse! Barbara from Florida, United StatesIncredible shot of the Hawk Judy. He looks like he is part of the flagpole. I like the face and feet in the shot while showing the wings extended. It must have been a surprise for him when he realized he could not get any footing. 8 Feb 2008 4:17pm Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesThanks Barb, for your correction - it is a Hawk, not an Osprey as I first wrote. Mike is the 'bird' man in the household and sadly, I've relied on him for too many years (like 49) and haven't learned the differentiate myself ... shame on me! 8 Feb 2008 7:27pm |
