He was intently looking over the crowd of spectators as if he were looking for the enemy line . . . or maybe he was looking for his wife! :D
This is the end of these . . . for now!
I'm learning from your work and your constructive comments; please leave suggestions. Blessings, Judy.
Other work is on Webshots; the link takes you to a collection of ladybugs from around the world.
He does look intent. Perhaps he is scanning the hills for signs of Indians or buffalo, but probably his wife.

@Marion: Hmmm ... didn't see any buffalo but I did spot some Indians! :D
Those glasses don't seem to be doing the job...he seems to be squinting :] Nice capture of an interesting expression.

@Dylan: Thanks, Dylan!
Excellent detail and color, Judy. He looks like a rather intellectual soldier.

@Michael Skorulski: His glasses may be a bit large for the era, but other than that, he's 'spot on'...
Very interesting expression on his face.

@Babul Bhatt: Sorry, but he was too close to get all of him into this shot.
Well...all is well, but...what did the horse do to you?????

@Japanalia: He did nothing to me but I wished I'd had an apple! *smile* He wasn't that close, Gabriela; I brought him in with the zoom.
Great shot. How majestic he looks atop his horse. This transports one back to civil war days. Thanks.

These actors are great and their uniforms so colorful. The background is a little washed out for my taste but I imagine you had to work with what you had - nicely done.

@Chris: I agree with you, Chris; the solidly overcast sky is washed out. I tried burning it a little, but it looked like that's what I did, so I left it alone.
One thought only:I love them all!

Very nice series Judy. The features of this fellow is fitting with the era. As was Abe. The series has given us a view of images we rarely see. Nice presentation.

@Barbara: Thank you, as always. There's a part of me that go back to that era, but then... LOL
