These two were 'itching' to use that Gatlingun!Posted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 31 January 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio. It was fun to watch them as they waited for the 'battle' to get near enough for them to get their orders to wheel 'er out and wind 'er up! . . . I loved their stances, but it doesn't look like any real battle! Thank you so much for visiting my blog; your comments are greatly appreciated. I apologize for not getting to all of your posts. I will visit as time permits. ---~--- Philippians 4:13 'We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.' ... <*}}}><

Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaI love the uniforms and the picture is great, but this truly looks like a re-enactment "about to happen". Their postures and expressions lack the excitement and urgency that a real war would have had. I think this one would look great in sepia and add to the reality. Wow, that is a lot for me to say isn't it Judy? Love your work....xoxoxo 31 Jan 2008 6:22am @Marion: You're right - this LOOKS like a 'staged situation'. As I said in another comment, I only wish they had been this close to me when they fired it; it would have made a wonderful video. Oh well..... @DaveB: I only wish they'd been that close when they actually fired it! Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaWonderful, 'do we shot now?" "hum, I don't know" "I hope so, I hate that guy" YEAH I got all that...LOL it's superb!!! 31 Jan 2008 10:31am @Lorraine: I like your imagination, Lorraine! Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanWere the real soldier that relaxed?????? I wonder! 31 Jan 2008 1:04pm @Japanalia: I am sure they were NOT........! Chris from South Jersey, United StatesGreat colors and composition - it is a shame there wasn't a bit more "acting" being done by those two!!! 31 Jan 2008 8:45pm @Chris: I fully agree, and when they went into action they were too far away to get much. :( Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesI thank everyone who has commented here, and 'Porcsin" I want to thank you also. 31 Jan 2008 11:13pm @Nick: Thanks, Nick - too clean to be 'real' but the reenactment was wonderful! |
