Close ResemblancePosted by Judy (Brooksville, Florida, United States) on 26 January 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. This gentleman comes south from Michigan annually, to portray Abraham Lincoln during these civil War reenactments. He walks the fields, mingles with the people and enjoys having his photo taken. ---~--- Philippians 4:13 'We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.' ... <*}}}>< Your comments are so appreciated and I apologize for not having time to get to all of your posts.

@Kelly: Thank you, Kelly! Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanA very good portrait of a very expressive face! He really looks like the portraits of real Lincoln!I wonder if he takes it seriously, because if he does he might come to believe one day that he IS Lincoln......reincarnated! (Did you open the envelope??????We hope you do!) 26 Jan 2008 11:15am @Japanalia: He was so willing to have his photo taken, perhaps he is beginning to think he is the original. Chris from South Jersey, United StatesWhat a close resemblance! Very nice portrait - your composition is excellent. 26 Jan 2008 1:15pm @Chris: Thank you, Chris! MJ from Delaware, United Statesgreat capture shows the expression so well and he plays the part well/.... Calusarus from St Sorlin en Valloire, FranceImpressive : a shot of this famous President. 26 Jan 2008 5:28pm @Calusarus: Thank you, Calusarus ... he does look a lot like our famous President. Barbara from Florida, United StatesExcellent portrait with great DOF. The skin tone and details are wonderful Judy. The resemblance is the closest I have ever seen. Your description of his presence at the reenactment and the expression on his face tells me he is proud to look as he does and portray such a famous individual in our history. Nice capture. 26 Jan 2008 5:49pm @Barbara: Thanks, Barb; I appreciate your comment! @Rags: Thank you, 'Rags' from Plano, TX! Bhavin from Mississauga, CanadaI think he is lacking the nose and the adam's apple. But overall, very close! Nice work. 27 Jan 2008 2:49am @Bhavin: Yes, you are correct and that's why I called it a "Close Resemblance." Marion Headrick from CanadaI agree with all of the above comments. This is a great portrait and he resembles Lincoln very much. This gentleman looks like he takes it very seriously, but still enjoys his time. 27 Jan 2008 7:56am @Marion Headrick: You're right; he takes it seriously and really gets into his part, but he is also jovial. Stéphane from Lyon, FranceHi Judy ! Thanks for yopur comment and nice to meet you ! Bravo for your great work in particular that shot (composition, lighting crop and colors) !
