@Lorraine: It does that to me too! Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanAre these the same people that did the reenactment last year? Do they perform every year? Do they rehearse some? I'd be very curious to know about it! (And....I posted the umbrellas, at your suggestion!) 25 Jan 2008 3:34pm @Japanalia: These men for "companies" and travel as a club, so to speak, from place to place for different reenactments as their free time allows. Some families travel together so there are women and children taking part. They don't "rehearse" but go out with some sort of plan, because one day of our reenactment the Union soldiers 'won the battle' and the second day the Confederates 'won'. ... I did get some photos of the battle, but this year so much of it took place far off in the field, beyond the area that was roped off. Spectators can't very close so the best photos are w/600mm (or larger) lenses. <pout> Ina from Krugersdorp, South AfricaHi "Jude" - I'm going through your portfolio now and your photography is excellent, looks like you are a natural!! Refering to "moving" subjects and active & dead space we discussed, this is another example where active space could be applied - to leave a bit of space in the direction they are walking will lead the eye in that direction.
